The demands on industrial trucks and their operators are increasing all the time. This is also leading to an increased risk of accidents, and forklift drivers therefore need assistance that is as effective as possible. Active feedback from the main control element is ideal here because the operator notices it instantly, is alerted to the danger and can react immediately.
Our new joystick is equipped with haptic feedback. The timing, intensity and duration of the vibration can be individually configured. The vibration warns the driver in an emergency and helps keep the vehicle under control. Various studies have shown that haptic feedback improves driving performance and reduces the visual demands on drivers. Information is processed without them having to take their eyes off whatever it is they are doing.
